4A Playoffs

Chesapeake 11, Arundel 7
Chesapeake answers a six run second inning by Arundel with eight in the top of the third and never look back.  Justin Snyder goes 4-for-4 with two RBI to lead Chesapeake. Dustin Gosnell gets the win pitching 5.1 innings of relief giving up one hit and striking out six. Will O’Hara went 3-for-3 with three RBI to lead Arundel.

Dulaney 5, Kenwood 2
Drew Bossi
and Tyler Pillas each go 2-for-3 and Nicky Manzoni knocks in two to lead Dulaney over Kenwood. Garrett Day gets the win on the mound in a complete game effort giving up two unearned runs and striking out five.

Gaithersburg 7, Northwest 1
Trey Martinez
homers and knocks in two and Zack DeCarlo has two RBI to lead Gaithersburg in the win.  Anthony Felitti goes 5.1 innings scattering five hits and has six strikeout to get the win for the Trojans.

Leonardtown 5, Broadneck 3
Dylan Caldwell
went 3-for-4 with an RBI and pitched the complete game giving up three runs (one earned) with five strikeouts for Leonardtown. Ryan Dunleavy, Sean Gaheen, and Will O’Neil each have two hits for Broadneck.

Paint Branch 7, Springbrook 1
Paint Branch explodes for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to the 7-1 victory.  Dwayne Thomas goes 3-for-4 for the Panthers and TC Conrad gets the win on the mound for Paint Branch, scattering five hits and striking out 10.

Sherwood 8, Howard 1
Matt Erwin
shuts down the Howard bats for six innings and Dan Sussleman has three hits to lead Sherwood to the win.

South River 10, North Point 0 (6 Innings)
Jake Vermillion
and Jesse McElree each have two hits and two RBI to lead South River.  Ethan Falsone adds a 3-for-4 day with an RBI for the Seahawks. Sean Healy gets the win on the mound striking out 10 in the complete game effort.

Chopticon 5, Lackey 4
Chopticon scores three runs in the bottom of the seventh to come-from-behind and get the victory.  Ljay Newsome comes in relief for three innings giving up one hit to help Chopticon get the comeback.  Austin Bussler goes 3-for-3 and Newsome goes 2-for-3 with an RBI to pace the Braves offense.  Nick Gray and CJ Hill both homer for Chopticon.

La Plata 11, Westlake 1

goes 3-for-3 with an RBI and Wyatt Potter has four RBI to lead the Warriors.

Thomas Johnson 4, South Hagerstown 0
Johnson scores all four runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the game. Vaughn Parker throws a shutout giving up two hits.

Furious Boonsboro rally comes up short as Middletown gets the game winner in the bottom of the eighth.  Boonsboro scores six in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game.  Jacob House has two RBI for Middletown and Danny Finn goes 2-for-4.  Dalton Stewart knocks in two for Boonsboro.

Patuxent 9, Calvert 6
Alex Thompson
goes 2-for-3 with a double and triple and two RBI to lead the Panthers. Reese Crounse adds two RBI on a 2-for-3 day.   Dillion Marshall and Colin Taeschner each have two hits for Calvert.

Poolesville 7, Winters Mill 5
Justin Souder
goes 3-for-3 with two RBI and Brady Pearre goes 2-for-2 with two RBI to lead Poolesville. Brittion Lawrence and Brooks Ryan add two hits for Winter Mill.

went 3-for-3 and Tre D’Amico goes 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead St. Mary’s Past Glenelg Country.  Stephen Pelli gets the win for St. Mary’s going five innings striking out seven. Dylan Farnella goes 3-for-3 for Glenelg Country.
