On Sunday February 18th PBR Maryland will host the Preseason All-State at Diamond Pros baseball facility in Glen Arm, MD. The biggest event prior to the high school season in Maryland will feature some of the top players and prospects around the state and put them all on one stage in front of the PBR scouting staff. As with all PBR events, all players will get their performance videoed and professionally edited to update or start their PBR Profile. Today we spotlight one of the players on the roster for the event.

Scouting Report

6.27.17:  Davis is 6-2 with and athletic frame and a strong lower half. Hits from the right side from an open athletic stance. Short stride on line, loads back into a bar, good rhythm to swing, some hip explosion and good balance throughout swing. Short and quick to ball, level swing with good extension through the ball. Line drive swing, strong hitter with pop, can drive balls to all fields. Good approach worked primarily gap-to-gap, exit velocity was 93. At first base, clean feet, gets behind ball, average hands. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, infield velocity was 79. Home to first was 4.64.

11.5.16 - Strong frame at 6-foot-2, 230-pounds. Ran a 8.05 60-yard dash with a 1.97 10-yard split. Hits from an athletic setup. Smooth load to hitting position with slight knee turn in load. Direct path to the ball with fast bat speed. Nice extension through contact. Loud contact during BP, power potential at the plate. Exit velocity of 94 mph. Sound fundamentals in the field. Clean exchange, not much wasted movements. Good footwork. Short arm action, quick turn to second. Infield velocity of 82 mph.
