On Sunday February 18th PBR Maryland will host the Preseason All-State at Diamond Pros baseball facility in Glen Arm, MD. The biggest event prior to the high school season in Maryland will feature some of the top players and prospects around the state and put them all on one stage in front of the PBR scouting staff. As with all PBR events, all players will get their performance videoed and professionally edited to update or start their PBR Profile. Today we spotlight one of the players on the roster for the event.

Scouting Report

11.5.16 - Solid frame at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds. Ran a 8.06 60-yard dash with a 1.94 10-yard split. Hits from an open setup with eight slightly back. Loads to square hitting position with big leg leg kick. Direct swing path to ball in and out of the zone. Spins slightly and could get some more extension. Strong kid and made some loud contact. Exit velocity of 92 mph. Active feet in the field, sound mechanics. Opens up slightly on throws from a low slot. Infield velocity of 78 mph.

7.26.16 - Strong frame at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds. Hits from a slightly open setup. Quick load to hitting position with some rhythm. Shorter swing path with some extension through contact. Compact swing and has some potential power. Nice balance throughout. Active feet in the infield. Needs to continue to work on footwork. Clean hands and exchange at third. Throws from a low ¾ slot at 77 mph. Exit velocity of 86 mph. Should continue to strengthen his frame and shows potential to turn into a power hitting prospect.

10.11.15 - Solid frame at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds. Ran a 8.03 60-yard dash. Hits from an open setup at the plate. Medium stride to balance. Short swing path that gets uphill at times. Some balance throughout swing. Shows power potential at plate to pull side. Exit velocity of 84 mph. Shows active feet and nice exchange in the field. Longer arm action Throws across the diamond registered at 76 mph. Has shown improvement and will be interesting to continue to monitor the young man’s development.

7.7.15 - Good frame at 6-foot 175-pounds. Hits from an open set up.  Short leg kick and simple load.  Has a short bat path with average bat speed and some extension.  Exit velocity of 80 mph. Average hands and sound exchange.  Throws had some carry on them at 76 mph. High ¾ arm slot. Ran an 8.2 60-yard dash. Plenty of raw ability in the young 2019 prospect. Interesting prospect to follow and see how develops. Some rhythm in his slower tempo controlled delivery. Square landing.  Could get more lower half usage in pitching. Long arm action with average arm speed. Fastball slight movement to the pitch at 73 mph. Breaking ball has gradual break to the pitch at 63 mph with near fastball arm speed. Changeup has fade to the pitch at 65 mph.
