On Sunday February 18th PBR Maryland will host the Preseason All-State at Diamond Pros baseball facility in Glen Arm, MD. The biggest event prior to the high school season in Maryland will feature some of the top players and prospects around the state and put them all on one stage in front of the PBR scouting staff. As with all PBR events, all players will get their performance videoed and professionally edited to update or start their PBR Profile. Today we spotlight one of the players on the roster for the event.

Preseason All-State Spotlight: John Galant
Scouting Report
5.20.17 - Galant has a 6-0, 165lb frame with room to fill out. At the plate, he has an open and upright set up. His hands launch from the starting position in as his load is extremely quick. Very short and flat path to the ball. Finishes balanced and in a stacked position. Exit velocity of 78 mph. At third base, he sets the ball up well with his feet. Footwork is sound and allows his hands to work and make clean exchanges. Short, effective arm action and able to get the ball to his target quickly.
5.15.16 - Lean frame with room to grow at 6-foot-0, 150-pounds. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash and home to 1st at 4.64. Hits from an even athletic set up. Limited load and stride approach. Hits from a low hand position with a level swing path. Exit velo of 69 mph. Clean hands and exchange. Short arm action throwing from a ¾ arm slot. Works thru the ball and throws across the diamond at 67 mph.
