MD Top Prospect Games East

Long, lean, athletic body type and projectable 6’3’’, 175 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, open stance at the plate. Small leg kick load and short stride creating some hand separation. Explosive lower half involvement, quick hands, and generates fast bat speed through the zone. Attacks the ball with intent. More level swing path with good extension past contact and a strong finish. Stays behind the ball well and did a nice job using the whole field in approach. Gap-to-gap line drive type hitter with some pop and more projected. Recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Quiet body receiving behind the plate. Quick footwork on throws to second base and squares shoulders to the bag on throws. Quick exchanges, throwing from a high three-quarter slot with short arm action at 80 mph. Slight pause at top of throw. Throws showed carry and pop times ranged 1.90 - 2.15. Ran a 7.19 60-yard time. Controlled side-step wind-up and leg kick into a crouched balance point. Quick, clean hand separation and down-to-out lower half drive. Long arm action and showed some quick arm speed through release. Gets over front side with good extension and lands square to the plate with an athletic finish. Throws downhill from a high three-quarter arm slot with light effort. Fastball ranged 82-85 mph and touched 86 mph. Breaking ball showed some 11/5 action at 70-71 mph and changeup was 73-77 mph.
