McDonough HS senior Darren Prebble is committed to Limestone College, a Division II program located in Gaffney, SC. Prebble was a major contributor for the McDonough program in their run to the state title game this year in 2015 that came up just short. He took some time out for PBR Maryland before the state championship to let us all get to know him better.

Why did you choose Limestone?

+ I picked Limestone because I really like the coaches, small school size, and atmosphere. It has always been a dream of mine to play college baseball down south. Being able to have one on one conversations with professors while playing in a top D2 Conference "Conference Carolinas" is perfect for me.

What other schools were you considering?

+ Slippery Rock University & Tallahassee CC

Now that your commitment is over, what are your goals for your senior year?

+ I want to finish out the season strong with my boys at McDonough. We've already made history by being the first McDonough baseball team to win a regional title. I'm ready to take on 1A States with my team and hopefully bring home a state championship for McDonough.

What would you like to get accomplished before you step on campus at Limestone?

+ I want to win a State Title. I want to win a second National Championship and earn MVP for the summer season in the collegiate league.

What are you looking forward to the most about Limestone?

+ I look forward to meeting new people and living in South Carolina

Who did you play for over the summer and what was your most memorable experience?

+ I was fortunate enough to play for the DeMarini Stars out of Virginia. The team had a lot of talented guys. The most memorable experience over the summer had to be when we defeated our other DeMarini Stars team in a championship game at Shipley Field on the campus of the University of Maryland.

Who has been the most influential person over your baseball career and why?

+ My dad for sure. For as long as I can remember, my dad was the one who always pushed me to be my best. He kept me on the right path all these years and I'm very thankful for that.

Who is your favorite MLB player and why?

+ Andrew McCutchen. Since I'm an outfielder and Pittsburgh Pirates fan, I look up to McCutchen. He runs the outfield in Pittsburgh. He's a five tool player, great role model, and all-around good guy.

What are you going to bring to Limestone as a freshman?

+ I'm going to push everyone to get better. I'm defiantly going to be working my hardest once I get down there to make everyone around me better players.

What is your favorite movie and favorite follow on twitter?

+ Step Brothers. Favorite follow would have to be my future team. @LCSaintsBasebal
