PBR Scouts were on the road watching Junior College action this past weekend.  On Saturday, Florence Darlington Tech (SC) hosted Harford CC (MD) and Catawba Valley CC (NC) for a 3 team round robin.  All three teams have aspirations of getting to their World Series.  Harford learned that they have an offense that will keep them in games with top teams.  FDTCC and CVCC each learned that adjustments will be needed as they look ahead to conference play, and ultimately, the post-season.

At Wake Tech CC (NC), Gaston College (NC) took their unbeaten record on the road for a double-header.  The 1^st year program out of Gaston has made early noise and continued to roll this weekend.

Down 2 after the 1^st, Harford plated the tying runs in the top of the 2^nd and then exploded for 4 runs in the 5^th.  Two arms worked to preserve the win for the Owls, only surrendering 4 hits on the day.

Harford again used big innings to pull away from Flo-Dar, sweeping the two games from the Stingers.  The 4 run second proved to be enough for the two Owl arms.  Zack Oswald worked 6 innings without giving up a hit.  Three different Owls homered in the contest.

A back and forth game saw Harford take leads in the 1^st and 3^rd innings.  CVCC would quickly answer.  With the score at 4-3 in the bottom of the 6^th, Harford would pull away, plating 5, leading to a perfect 3-0 weekend.

Tied after 6 innings at 4-4, each club would plate 4 runs in one frame, CVCC in the 7^th and Flo-Dar answering in the 8^th.  In the 10^th, two singles would earn Javier Crespo an opportunity to plate the winning run on a ground ball.
