No. 6 Matt Mervis

Matt MervisMervis has held on to the top spot in the 2016 class since the PBR Maryland launch in January. Mervis has maintained his postion in the PBR overall rankings as well and currently is ranked No. 89. The Duke signee shows two way potential with his power potential at the plate from the left side and his raw ability and arm strength on the mound. Mervis will be a big player for Georgetwon Prep as they prepare to defend their IAC championship title in 2015.

This February Mervis will be at PBR’s premier professional scouting event, the Super 60 which showcases top talent across the PBR network of coverage. Mervis will be a highly followed player in Maryland and could potentially be the first high school player drafted this upcoming June.

The video of Mervis is from a few at bats in March during a Georgetown Prep regular season game against Paul VI (Va).
