The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for rising junior and select rising sophomore prospects. This year close to 200 college and professional scouts from all over the country were in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are subscribed by more than 500 colleges and professional scouts.

2015 marked the first year players from the PBR Maryland and PBR Virginia areas of coverage formed a team. Many of the players recruitment has picked up since the event. Today we look at 2017 RHP Joey Haass.

Position:  RHP
Height: 5-11
Weight:  155
School:  Polytech (DE)
Grad: 2017

Scouting Report
Athletic and lanky frame at 5-foot-11 155-pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed and a free arm action.  Controlled delivery that builds up sped throughout.  Early front leg causes recoil and finishes towards first base.  Arm works well. Pitches with some effort. Once gets consistent timing with lower half could get more velo.  Fastball has slight run on the pitch at 83-86 mph topping out at 87.  Breaking ball has tight rotation and late break with 11/5 action at 75 mph and near fastball arm speed.  Slows arm down on the change up at 77 mph

+I have talked to coaches from UMBC, University of Connecticut, Fordam University, Delaware State

+Not yet

Do you have any visits scheduled?
+Over the winter I'm planning to visit UMBC, University of Connecticut, Mississippi State University, York College, Delaware State University and University of Delaware so far.

Have any offers been made at this stage?
+No I haven't received any offers yet

What is your timeline for your decision?
+I'm hoping to be committed by the end of the summer.

Describe your Future Games Experience:
+The futures games was a great experience. I liked pitching against high level hitters from other states. It was exciting pitching in front of so many colleges. I got to know players who I usually play against on local teams.

Would you recommend to others to attend the Future Games?
+For sure!

Where are you at academically at this time?
+My GPA is currently a 3.3 and I am taking the SAT in March
