 WAYNE - With senior year approaching, Nasir Frederick was admittedly a little anxious without a college commitment. So he took matters into his own hands.
“I emailed the coach a video of me swinging and I ended up getting a reply back,” Frederick explained about going outside the box and reaching out to Coastal Carolina. “They liked what they saw.” That was two months ago. “I took a tour of the school, met the coaches and went to a camp,” the 13th-rated player in Michigan’s 2019 class said. “After that we talked more and more.” A commitment to play for the Sun Belt Conference school eventually followed. |
