PBR: Why did you choose Schoolcraft?
Joey: I chose Schoolcraft because I really liked the coaching staff and how they approached the recruiting process. I also liked the idea of it being a new program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Joey: I was considering Henry Ford, Defiance, and Lawrence Tech.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Joey: The coaching staff first saw me at a game where my high school team played Edsel Ford, Coach Fay was the coach of Edsel at the time.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment?
Joey: This summer I am playing for the Michigan Gators but last summer I played for the Lincoln Park Rails. Iwould have  to say the most memorable moment was losing to Midland Berryhill 3-2, even though it was a loss it was a great game and made me learn about myself as a player.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Joey: I didn't really expect to be recruited much, I just expected to play and if I did good enough schools would see. It turned out to be a great experience.

PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Joey: .405 BA 19 RBI 32 runs, 9 2B, 15 SB

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Joey: I would have to say the toughest pitchers I have faced in high school would be Tyler Thorington (WMU commit)  and Tyler Butzin (EMU current player).
