Inside the Recruitment: '15 RHP Tyler Wiechec commits to Saginaw Valley State

PBR: Why did you choose SVSU?

Wiechec: I made the choice to go to SVSU because of the atmosphere and how they made me feel wanted there, plus its closer to home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Wiechec: I was considering Eastern Michigan, Indiana Tech, and planned on taking visits to Adrian, Siena Heights, Davenport, And Kalamazoo College.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?

Wiechec: I'm guessing they saw me at a PBR, or viewed my profile on the PBR website. They didn't exactly tell me

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Wiechec: My most memorable moment was probably going to the colt league world series a few years ago or going to the pony world series a couple years ago.

PBR:  What team do you play for in the summer?

Wiechec: I played for a colt league team and then the Great Lakes all-star team.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Wiechec: I really didn't expect much other than when college coaches talked to me that they would try to fill me in about their program and why I should go there.

PBR: What were your stats last season?

Wiechec: I don't really know much of my stats other than, last spring I batted .358 with 4 home runs and 40 hits and some of my summer pitching stats were i threw 17 innings with 33 strikeouts, 5 walks and 8 hits, and 1 earned run.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced?

Wiechec: The toughest hitter I faced was sophomore year against grant miller, plays for Western Michigan now
