Zack Bell 2014 Warren De La Salle HS

PBR - Why did you choose Lansing Community College? What do you plan to study in college?

Bell - I chose Lansing Community College cause it seemed right. I've been an Michigan State fan my whole life so being in Lansing will be awesome. Coach Andy Merchant seems like a great guy and I can't wait to showcase what I can do. I plan to study either pre-law or pre-med, but I'm undecided for the moment.

PBR - Who is the best player you have played with or against?

Bell - I think the best all-around player I've ever played with was my MCBC teammate Nick Plummer, it's near impossible to get the kid out.

PBR - What are your goals for the season ahead as a team and personal?

Bell - We as a team have one goal and that is to leave a legacy behind at De La Salle. I want to go out with a state championship banner in the gym. We believe when all aspects of the game are clicking we're a tough team to beat.

PBR - Who has influenced your baseball career the most?

Bell - My biggest influence in baseball was definitely my Grandpa. He's my biggest fan, after every game he tells me what I could have done better but at the end of the day he always tells me how proud he is of me.

PBR - What is your most memorable moment in baseball?

Bell - My most memorable moment is from my freshman year, I played for our school summer team and I was told to pinch hit in the bottom of the sixth. It was a 1-1 game and I hit a 3 run home run off a knuckleball pitcher, it was my first high school home run.
