Ligtenberg: I took a few visits during the summer and plan on taking a few more this fall.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Ligtenberg: I’m looking for a school that will challenge me in the classroom and on the field. I want a school that is going to help me succeed in the classroom and help me succeed out of college as I look for a career I want to pursue. Baseball is also a big part of my choice which means I’m looking for a team that is well coached and has a great group of guys and is well cultured.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your sophomore year?

Ligtenberg: Having a chance to get to throw some innings on the varsity team. I was able to see the type of work it takes to be on a varsity team and get a chance to see the competition and see what areas of my game I needed to improve to make an impact on our team.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Ligtenberg: My goals this year is to continue to grow and get stronger as well as sharpen my mechanics pitching wise. Another goal is to be a leader as well as a coach on our varsity team. We have a very good group of guys at Eagan and I’m excited to be a part of the program and have a chance to get to be a leader and help shape the new culture at Eagan.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Ligtenberg: I played basketball through sophomore year and now I just play intramural basketball during the winter.
