Alex Lange picks LSU and other recruiting news
September 13, 2012
The No. 1 ranked player in Missouri and the combined PBR rankings for the Class of 2014, RHP Alex Lange (right) from Lee's Summit West, has committed to LSU. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Lange was unhittable at the Midwest Future Games, sitting 88-91 mph with late arm side movement. More impressive, Lange’s 79-mph slider was the best pitch of the Midwest Future Games. It is a true wipeout slider, with sharp two-plane life.
Also making his commitment today was LHP Dalton Moats (left) from Park Hills HS. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Moats will continue his baseball career at Coastal Carolina University. At a recent PBR Showcase, Moats impressed with 85-87 mph fastball and command of his offspeed pitches. Moats also showed arm stregnth in the outfield, with a top throw of 85-mph to third base. Moats is ranked No. 15 in the Class of 2013.
