SCOUTING REPORT

5/19/19

 

6-foot-2, 155 pound two way player ran a 7.65 60 yard sprint. Long and lean project-able frame. On the mound, pitched in the 79-80 mph range. Varying action on FB, clean with occasional life. Mixed in a 74-75 mph cutter.  Tight 1/7 breaking ball with good tilt. Late fade on CH. Hitchy swing, spray contact, contact to all fields. Posted an 80 mph exit velocity. Online, solid/avg. carry. Is accurate to target, topped out at 82 mph to the catcher. Went 1-4 during game action of the Elite 50.

 

 

6-foot-1, 150 pound two way player ran a 7.87 60 yard sprint. Arm works really well on the mound. Compact clean action on the backside and long out front. Sat in the 78-80 mph range in the strike zone. Fastball is on a downhill plane with running action. Advanced feel for breaking ball and change up for age. Breaking ball had 2/8 shape with late depth, change up runs heavy to his arm side. At the plate, open stance, leg kick trigger, compact uphill barrel path, pull-side approach, some hook. Posted an 74 mph exit velocity off a tee. Easy athletic actions in both the infield and outfield. High level follow for the 2022 class as he continues to develop.
