PBR COMMENTS:
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Long lean body. Projects to continue to get stronger. Wiry strength with quick twitch. Loose actions and arm works well. Fastball shows late life. Breaking ball is thrown hard with depth and quality spin. Change has plus movement from good arm action. Fastball sits in the 84-86 mph range and has been up 88 mph. Breaking ball sits 70-73 mph with good depth and change up is 73-74 mph. Upper echelon ability and feel for 3 pitches.

PBR: Why did you choose Minnesota?
Culliver: I chose the University of Minnesota because of the promising future with the program and the facilities. The school was definitely my top choice, it contained my major in construction management. The university of Minnesota is building for the future and that's why I want to be a gopher

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?
Culliver: Creighton and UNO

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Culliver: The coaches first saw me in New Ulm, Minnesota for a tournament. The beginning of our relationship really developed right after that game, the coach called me that night and we kept in consistent contact ever since.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
Culliver: I'm very relived that the process is over, I don't have to impress anyone anymore. I can just play the game worrying about the radar gun in the stands.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Culliver: One major deciding factor was the coaching staff. Knowing that the coaches have been their for 30 plus years gave me comfort, They wanted to make the university feel like home and  they did everything to make sure that happened.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
Culliver: Mainly my family, they supported me throughout the recruiting process and beyond. And Also my coaches they believed in me and pushed me to work above my limits.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
Culliver: I really didn't have any expectations coming into the process, I never saw myself as a D1 athlete but I just played the game as hard as I could. The process when it was coming to an end was stressful because it's a huge decision and I wanted no regrets when I decided on a college because it's my future, and after my decision I definitely picked the right college

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
Culliver: Coach Anderson and Coach Fornasiere haven't really gave me specific role, they just told me to work hard in the offseason and my role will form on its own.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Culliver: Winning the central plains Regional against Rapid City.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
Culliver: Cole Stobbe
