PBR: Why did you choose Wayne State?
I choose Wayne State because I felt it was the best overall fit for me both academically and athletically. I really liked the campus and facilities that they have as well as the coaching staff.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was also considering Southwestern CC, Independence CC, Central, Luther, and Simpson College
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
They first saw me at a PBR event with the Nebraska Prospects in Ralston and from then on the relationship grew and had me on a visit.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
They seemed like the complete package for me. They had everything that I was looking for in a school and in a baseball program. They have nice facilities complemented with a great baseball staff and a full time weight training staff.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
Definitely my parents, they have given me every opportunity and without them none of it would have been possible. The Nebraska Prospects was also a huge help getting me lots of exposure to good competition all over the country and helping me with the recruiting process.
PBR: Going into your senior season next spring, what are your expectations for your team?
My expectations for next spring is making it back to the State Tournament. We will be a young team and have lots of talent to replace but I feel like my senior class will be able to fill the gaps and also the underclassman will be able to contribute and help our success.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
In my freshman season I am going to have to compete for a position, nothing will be given and I'm going to have to win my spot on the field.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Most memorable moment to date would be hitting my first home run in St. Louis this past fall.
PBR: Who is the best player you have competed against?
Shay Schanaman. Have competed against him since we were playing youth ball. He's a hard out at the plate and solid defensively.
