PBR Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 205-pound left handed pitcher who topped out at 83 mph with his running fastball. Mechanically, fluid delivery, front side leg opens early. Mid ¾ arm slot with some effort. Stays online towards home plate with an athletic finish. Heavy 73-76 mph changeup that was thrown with good arm speed. Showed feel for 70-72 mph 2/7 breaking ball with tilt.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Philbin: Hutchinson CC, Iowa Central CC, Southeast CC, DMACC, and Garden City CC.

PBR: Is there a favorite at this point in the process?
Philbin: At this point there are no favorites. I want to finish up my visits before I choose a favorite.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
Philbin: I visited Hutchinson already but I do have visits with Iowa Central and Southeast soon. I'm still trying to find a good time to go visit Garden City.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Philbin: I'm looking at schools that send players to good four year universities after two years at a community college.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Philbin: My favorite highlight from Junior year was getting my first varsity win. We were losing to Lincoln North Star and I came in and held them while we went and took the lead. It was a very special moment. 

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Philbin: My goal for this year is to play an important role in the pitching staff and get into the state tournament again.
