With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report Nebraska. Our mission in Nebraska mirrors that of our other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state information, to scout and promote high school baseball and, ultimately help Nebraska prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in Nebraska.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 29 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly scout Nebraska:

Brian Feekin.

Born and raised in Nebraska, Feekin starred at Papillion-Lavista High School before the 6-foot-5 left-handed pitcher moved on to Iowa Western CC, where he participated in two Division I JUCO World Series in 2008 and 2009.

A two-time draft at Iowa Western, Feekin instead moved on to the University of Louisville and won a Big East Conference Championship in 2010. Feekin was selected to participate in the Coastal Plains League All-Star Game, designated for the collegiate summer league's top professional prospects. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies in 2008 and 2009, respectively.

Feekin also has five years of coaching experience at the youth select level and is currently involved in player development in the Omaha area.  He currently also serves as an associate scout for the Florida Marlins.

Feekin will work under Rob Allison, the Iowa and Minnesota scouting supervisor. Allison is one of the most respected recruiters and talent evaluators in the Midwest, having been the recruiting coordinator at Iowa Western CC for eight years. During that time, Iowa Western reached the Division I Junior College World Series seven times and won three national championships—2010, 2012 and 2014.

Now Feekin will bring his baseball experiences and connections to Nebraska’s prep baseball scene. Feekin will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Nebraska has ever seen and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But he can’t do it alone. Please email him at [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Nebraska-specific events will begin next summer after he and his scouting staff cover the spring season. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure to college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 11 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. More than 750 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services.

Now, we are thrilled to be your No. 1 source of high school baseball in Nebraska.
