Pete Heubeck, RHP, Gilman School, MD
As an underclassmen, Heubeck established himself as a clear arm to follow for the 2021 MLB Draft. He was touching 92-94 two years ago, working with a loose arm and easy effort while also showing the ability to spin a tight breaking ball. Like everybody else, he saw limited action in 2020, but was also slowed by injury. Maryland is just getting started with the spring season and Heubeck sat 91-93 with 2500-2600 rpm in one of his first outings. He also continued to show his sharp breaking ball, as well as excellent feel for a changeup at 82-85. As things warm up and he rounds into midseason form, the Wake Forest recruit could find himself among the top righties in the country.
