Team Select
+ 2019 RHP Landon Rascoe (Hattiesburg, MS) had a solid one inning of work showing a loose arm action with quick hand speed sitting 88-92 mph with fastball.
+ 2020 RHP Lucas Quezada (Denver School of Arts, CO) has a projectable frame with loose arm action. He threw two scoreless inning commanding his fastball at 85-87 mph with several swings and misses and heavy sinking action at the bottom of the zone. He also also showed a 67 mph changeup.
+ 2019 1B/C Colin Frederickson (St. Stanislaus, MS) showed off his solid left handed stroke, with a backside approach recording one hit one the day but found barrel in both at-bats.
+ 2019 RHP Garret Simpson (Bullitt East, KY) had an efficient day on the mound and worked with a quick tempo. He sat 83-84 mph with fastball, also showing a slider at 78-79 mph.
+ 2019 OF John Tyler Mounce (Cypress Christian, TX) continued to show his fast-twitch, athleticism. He showcased his defensive ability taking direct, efficient routes on fly balls, also recording an assist from left field as he gunned down a runner trying to advance.
+ 2019 Julian Greenwell (Columbus East, IN) took some of the best swings of the week for team select, consistently finding barrel with authority. The left-handed hitter barrelled up a ball to first, and hammered a curveball for a base hit to centerfield.
+ 2019 SS/2B Brendan Carrane (St. Rita, IL) stayed true to his approach and continued to show his athleticism getting down the line. He recorded a single in his first at-bat to left field, and in his second plate appearance he would lay down another quality bunt running a 3.7 to first but was called out by a half step.
+ 2019 C/OF Caleb Munton (Wylie, TX) threw out his third runner in as many days behind the plate. The switch hitter also scorched a ground ball that would have been a double play, but he beat the play at first base.
+ 2019 RHP Jack Povey (Red Bank Regional, NJ) worked a quick sixth inning, sitting down three consecutive batters. The right-hander showed a quick arm and life on his fastball at 85-89 mph.
+ 2019 LHP Chandler Best (McGill Toolan Catholic, AL) showed very good pitchability with his 83-85 mph sinking fastball. Best has a solid feel for three pitches, throwing a 69-71 mph curveball, as well as a 72-73 mph changeup.
+ 2019 SS/RHP Dante Ciamarella (Monmouth Regional, NJ) recorded the save for Team Select. The right-hander was 84-87 with a 73-77 mph slider.
