Scouting Report

2017 Future Games (August 2-5, 2017)
Andrey has a strong, broad shouldered frame at 6-feet 200-pounds. Fastball sat mostly 86-88 throughout his three innings of work in Indianapolis for Team New Jersey. Flashed a curveball with 11/5 break at 69-71 and a plus changeup for his age at 77-79 with heavy armside sink and run – a true swing-and-miss pitch. Up tempo delivery into a tall, athletic balance point. Explodes off of balance leg down the mound with uphill shoulders that create leverage down in the zone on finish. Loose, clean, and quick arm stroke from a high-3/4 slot. Landing leg is firm and foot closed off, causing him to drift towards first base side of rubber on finish. Fastball has natural armside run to complement sink and fade to changeup. High riser in the 2019 rankings. Totals from the event: 3 IP, 1 H, 3 K, 1 BB. In his final inning on the last day, worked out of a bases loaded jam with a strikeout and pop up to hold Team NJ to a 1-0 win over Team Connecticut.H with late life. Stayed down and was in and out with command. Flashed a change up in the 71-72 MPH range with good arm speed. Did not show breaking pitch but when it's developed will most likely be in the slider format based on arm slot and hand speed. Huge upside on the mound.
