Bordentown
2017 SS Kevin Welsh (Northern Burlington HS, NJ; Rutgers commit) and 2017 2B Alex Popovich (Northern Burlington HS, NJ; Fordham commit) were stellar in the field. Very dynamic and similar athletes. Quick, agile feet in the field - both have above average range for their ages. Both showed off their arms, Welsh with several plays deep in the hole across the infield with exceptional carry. Popovich showed his athleticism off on plays up the middle and some hard shots to his glove side.

Hopewell Valley
Uncommitted 2017 1B Cameron Cane (Hopewell Valley HS, NJ) is an interesting looking prospect. Passes the eye test for a first baseman at 6-4 210-pounds. Possesses raw abilities at the plate that can definitely be refined as he continues to mature. Starts slightly opened in his stance with his hands at his ear. Smooth hand load, stays compact. Power potential if he can get into his hips more with his swing - but again, all things that can be tinkered with at the next level.

Uncommitted 2017 RHP Josh deDufour (Hopewell Valley HS, NJ) was another talented prospect. The 6-foot 180-pound righty throws from a low-3/4 to almost sidearm slot with heavy armside run and sink. Was 81-83 and showcased a devastating 67-69 mph sweeping slider. Especially tough on righties. Projects to be a closer or matchup reliever in college. Has serious funk that can get hitters out at any level. Definite follow.

Uncommitted 2017 RHP Zach Bregenzer (Hopewell Valley HS, NJ) threw well in the second game. 6-foot 160-pounds with room for muscle on the frame. Strike-thrower at 76-78 mph and showed decent 11/5 depth on curveball at 66. Long arm action.
