The 2023 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across New Jersey.

 Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at Veteran's Field at the NJSIAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview the top teams across NJ.

Team Outlook

With one of the most talented teams in Buddy Hausmann's tenure, the Caseys are loaded with depth at nearly every position, not to mention a talented core of underclassmen chomping at the bit. Stanyek, Svenson, and Leary were the horses last year and will look to lead RBC deep into the Shore Conference and State Tournaments once again. Keep an eye on transfers Ethan Marzo and Anthony Nannini. Marzo, a Marist commit, transferred from Staten Island power St. Joseph's by the Sea this year and will look to contribute in big ways down the stretch. Griggs, Andrus, and Scrivanic will head the offense with Passo in the middle of the order, too. Expect Viriginia commit 2025 Ryan Prior to make a big jump with added reps on the mound. All in all, the Caseys are poised for a deep run come June with this lineup and pitching staff.
