David Stopp, LHP, Green HS, Class of 2017

PBR: Why did you choose Bowling Green?

Stopp:  I chose Bowling Green because it is the perfect place to play D1 baseball and take my aviation classes.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Stopp:  It is an amazing feeling knowing that I accomplished my goal.

PBR: BG is close to home.  How much of a role did distance play in your decision?

Stopp:  Distance was not a factor at all in my decision, although it is nice that I am not far from home.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Falcon baseball?

Stopp:  I think my biggest strength is a good work ethic. This will definitely help me throughout college.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the mst memorable experience from this summer?

Stopp:  I play for Ohio Elite in the summer. One of my favorite memories was when Ryan Christy hit a bases clearing triple to give us the lead in the bottom of the 6th. This was late in the TOC tournament at the University of Cincinnati.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Stopp:  I have friends and teammates who have been through the recruiting process before, so I knew what to expect.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Stopp: The toughest hitter I have ever faced would have to be my former teammate, Darshawn Armstrong.
