Jaret Beechy, LHP, Strongsville HS, Class of 2017
PBR: Why did you choose Seton Hill?
Beechy: I chose Seton Hill for their academics as well as their team, they've had a great record for the past 5 years and I liked their coaching staff.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Beechy: I was also considering John Carroll and Denison.
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Beechy: The coaches first saw me at the showcase we had at my summer teams facility as well as another camp I went to.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Beechy: I know they are losing a lot of arms this year I expect to probably relieve when they need me.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Seton Hill baseball?
Beechy: I think I have a lot of mental toughness I can bring to Seton Hill with me, something that helps immensely in big time games.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Beechy: I play for Premier Ohio, my most memorable experience this past summer was winning the Buckeye Elite Tournament.
PBR: What were your stats for last spring?
Beechy: I'm not exactly sure, somewhere in the 40 innings range, 30 or so strikeouts, 22 runs given up.
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
Beechy: The toughest hitter I've faced is probably Noah Trizzino, he makes solid contact every time I've faced him and can hit off speed as well.
