Michael Holdsworth, SS, St. Ignatius HS, Class of 2019

PBR: Why did you choose Nebraska?

Holdsworth: I chose Nebraska because it felt like the right fit for me to develop as not only a player, but a person too. The coaching staff there is amazing and the overall atmosphere is great.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Holdsworth: Ohio University

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you and how did your relationship develop?

Holdsworth: They first saw me at a Bullpen tournament at Grand Park in Indiana. They then watched a few more games there, then saw me at Perfect Game down in Georgia.

PBR: Was the recruiting process what you expected?

Holdsworth: No, it moved a lot faster than I thought I would.

PBR:  This past summer you participated in some PBR Future Games, how much did the recruiting scene change after your performance?

Holdsworth: Not a whole lot considering I committed shortly after participating, but there were so many coaches there that a lot of my teammates and friends benefitted from it.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Holdsworth: I play for the Team Mizuno Warhawks and the most memorable experience was playing at Grand Park in Indiana.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Holdsworth: I am not sure who the toughest pitcher I have faced is, but if I had to pick someone that would give me the most trouble it would be a teammate of mine named Johnathan Machamer that just committed to South Carolina.
