Brady Emerson, OF, John Glenn HS, Class of 2020

PBR: Why did you choose Ohio State?

Emerson: I chose Ohio State because I really loved the coaching staff and the campus. It was also close to home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Emerson: I thought about schools in the south but reconsidered and starting looking more regionally at University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky and Miami University.

PBR: Where did Coach Beals first see you?  How did your relationship develop with them?

Emerson: I'm really not sure where he first saw me but I know he was at the Buckeye Elite Showcase and was at a couple games.

PBR: What are the OSU coaching staff expectations once you step on the OSU campus?

Emerson: They want you to focus more on just playing for Ohio State.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Emerson: My parents have had a huge impact on me as a baseball player. They have taken time out of their busy schedule to take me to tournaments and showcase so I could get recruited.

Emerson: I play for Ohio Elite-Ratcliff. My most memorable experience from this summer is when the team walked off against Bulls black our rival.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Emerson: I thought it would be a longer process going into your junior or senior years

PBR: What were your stats last spring?

Emerson: I really not sure what my stats were for this year but I know I hit around .400.

PBR: Who is the best pitcher that you have ever faced?

Emerson: The best pitcher I ever faced was Nick Gorby who played for Evoshield Canes in Florida.
