September 7, 2012
Tyler Pagano, RHP/OF, Pickerington North HS, Class of 2013
PBR: Why did you choose Oakland?
Pagano: I chose Oakland because it felt like the perfect fit. Coach Musachio is a great coach and I really like what they have going for them. It also helps that I will be joining two OE guys there.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Pagano: Army, Buffalo, Ohio, and Elon
PBR: Why did you chose to make your decision so soon and are you finished with the recruiting process?
Pagano: I made my decision so soon because I knew that Oakland was the right fit for me and yes I am finished with the process.
PBR: You recently attended PBR’s Top Prospect Showcase. How did that help you in the recruiting process?
Pagano: It helped me out a lot; it got me in contact with various schools. It was a great event.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Pagano: My individual goals are to be a threat both on the mound and in the box. This season we have a lot of seniors and have a very solid lineup. Our goal is to get to regionals and states this year.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division I baseball program?
Pagano: It feels great. It has been my dream ever since I was little and it feels good for it to finally be a reality.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Pagano: I play for the Ohio Elite and my most memorable part of the summer was just hanging out with the guys. It was a great summer.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Pagano: The toughest pitcher that I faced was Matt Smoral.
