Gabe Snyder, LHP, West Holmes HS, Class of 2013

PBR: Why did you choose Wright State?

Snyder: Wright State has a great baseball program, academics, and coaching staff.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Snyder: Miami and other MAC schools

PBR: You have made your commitment very early.  Why did you chose to make your decision so soon and are you finished with the recruiting process?

Snyder: I chose Wright State because they met my goals and needs and therefore I accepted.  I did not want to wait and potentially lose this opportunity.  I am finished with the recruiting process and am waiting to sign in November.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?

Snyder: Individual goals include a sub 1 ERA, go undefeated, have a BA .500 As a team I want to win a State championship.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Snyder: I am happy and relieved that I made my decision.  I am looking forward to competing at the D 1 level.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Snyder: I played for Chris Valentine with the 17U Ohio Elite. The most memorable experience was playing with a great group of guys and coaches.

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at West Holmes?

Snyder: 60k's, 62 innings, ERA 1.12, record of 9-1, .355, with 24 RBI's, 6 doubles and a home run.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Snyder: No particular person stands out.  Wapakoneta was the strongest hitting team that I faced in our state semifinal game.
