The Latest Recruiting News from around Ohio



Shane Biles, a catcher and versatile utility man from Zanesville High School, has committed to Coach Stricklin and the Golden State Flashes. Biles, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect is a scrappy left-handed hitter. He was also considering UNC-Wilmington, Akron, and Ohio University.

Jacob Miller, a right-handed pitcher from Westerville North High School, has committed to Bowling Green. Miller, a 6-foot, 175-pound prospect, throws a consistent 83-86 mph fastball as well as a 72-75 mph curveball and a knuckleball that sits in the mid 60’s.

Nate Pearson, a left-handed hitting first baseman from Toledo St. Johns, has committed to Coach Mee and the University of Toledo.  Pearson, a 6-foot-1, 240-pound prospect, was named to the Sun Belt Tournamenet All-Tournament Team at the beginning of the summer while participating with Team Ohio.

Bradley Macciocchi, a left-handed hitting catcher and first baseman from Moeller, has committed to Coach Cooper and Wright State University. Macciocchi becomes the third commitment for WSU. He was also considering Oakland and Miami.
