Oregon Fall Five: 2027 Picks To Click
October 27, 2026
As we conclude the Fall showcase season, Prep Baseball Oregon is starting a new series of player spotlights. Our "Fall Five" series focuses on highlighting five names that share commonalities, whether it be players we circle as picks to click, uncommitted names, or other key prospect information.
Today, we begin our new series by highlighting five seniors across the state that we believe could be poised for a huge 2027.
Be sure to check back over the coming weeks as we release other "Fall Five" spotlights.
1. Chad Turner
Position: OF
School: Sheldon
Commitment: Edmonds Community College
👤 Profile: Chad Turner
Scout Notes 📝
From 8/19/26... "Sheldon outfielder Chad Turner makes one of the biggest jumps in the rankings after showing real strides in his game at the Eugene Summer ID. A 6'3, 180 pound lefthander, Turner ran a 6.98 60 yard dash and displayed quality actions defensively. The bat was the standout tool in this one, blasting exit velocities up to 100.7 MPH with balls hit up to 361 feet. The combination of athleticism and size make Turner one of the more intriguing position players in the 2027 class and he'll be a name to monitor moving forward."
Key Showcase Metrics📊
- Exit Velocity: 100.7 mph
- 60 Yard Dash Time: 6.98 seconds
- Outfield Velocity: 81 mph
#uncommitted ‘27 OF Chad Turner (Sheldon) was a big winner at yesterday’s Eugene Summer ID Increased strength from a lean 6’3 frame led to a peak exit velocity of 100.7 MPH and balls hit up to 361 feet. Controlled aggression throughout, accelerating through contact with a whippy two-handed finish Athletic mover with a 6.98 60 yard dash time and throws up to 81 MPH from the outfield. 2. Jack Aleskus
Position: LHP
School: Lincoln
Commitment: Uncommitted
👤 Profile: Jack Aleskus
Scout Notes 📝
From 8/14/26... "The durably-built 6'3 lefty had a quality outing at Top Prospect Games, building on a strong showing at PNW Preseason All-State this winter. Aleskus works through a smooth, lower-effort delivery with a slinging 3/4 slot release, utilizing his longer levers down the mound. The fastball sat 82-85 T85.7 MPH in this look and was thrown often. He leaned on a mid-70's slider as his main secondary pitch, though the CH flashed this winter as well. Aleskus has had a great 2026, throwing a ton of innings and earning All-State honors during the HS season, and is an intriguing uncommitted arm remaining on the board."
Key Showcase Metrics📊
- Fastball: 83-85 T85.7 mph
- Changeup: 73-77 mph
- Slider: 75-77 mph
#uncommitted ‘27 LHP Jack Aleskus (Lincoln) is an intriguing arm remaining in the board FB 82-85 T85.7 SL 71-74 Durable 6’3 frame with smooth, lower effort operation. Lefthander saw heavy usage and plenty of success this spring, securing OSAA 6A All-State honors @jackaleskus | @PB_Uncommitted

3. Bodie Wieczorek
Position: RHP/OF
School: Ashland
Commitment: Uncommitted
👤 Profile: Bodie Wieczorek
Scout Notes 📝
From 10/27/26... "Coming off of an injury this year, Wieczorek still carries a high ceiling and is an arm that could break through entering his senior year. An imposing 6'7 righthander on the mound, Wieczorek generates easy extension down the mound with a three pitch mix shown at the Eugene Summer ID last July. On the position player side, Wieczorek has blasted exit velocities into the mid-90's, utilizing the longer levers well with some athleticism and speed present."
Key Showcase Metrics📊
- Fastball: 77-80 mph
- Exit Velocity: 94.5 mph
- 60 Yard Dash Time: 7.28 seconds
4. Paul Herb
Position: C
School: Sprague
Commitment: Uncommitted
👤 Profile: Paul Herb
Scout Notes 📝
From 8/4/26... "Seen multiple times in 2026, Herb was solid yet again at PNW State Games, after a great showing at the Corvallis Preseason ID this winter. A compact-framed righthander, Herb runs well for the position and possesses enough bat to ball skill to transfer well moving forward. The power generated really stands out with exit velocities up to 97.4 MPH at his best. A multi-sport athlete, Herb is an uncommitted name to circle as he enters his senior season."
Key Showcase Metrics📊
- Exit Velocity: 97.4 mph
- 60 Yard Dash Time: 6.92 seconds
- Catcher Pop Time: 2.00 seconds
5. Jake Fisher
Position: RHP/1B
School: Grant
Commitment: Uncommitted
👤 Profile: Jake Fisher
Scout Notes 📝
From 3/10/26... "The Grant HS prospect impressed at his first Prep Baseball showcase at Oregon State University. Fisher's fastball figures to induce soft contact in-game with over 18 inches of horizontal break at its best, sitting 84-85 T85.9 MPH. Fisher's changeup looks to be his best offspeed pitch with just over 1000 RPM, though he also showed a low 70's curveball that flashed as well. The junior was also tremendous at the plate with a 98.4 MPH peak and 92 MPH average exit velocity, carrying two-way ability into the spring."
Key Showcase Metrics📊
- Fastball: 85-86 T86.1 mph
- Exit Velocity: 98.4 mph
- Bat Speed: 80.4 mph
