Jackson Barba OF / RHP / Central High School Independence, Oregon, OR / 2027

From 8/5/26... "After impressing at a showcase look this winter, Barba set new personal bests virtually across the board at the workout portion of State Games. A physical two-way righthander, Barba ran a 6.75 60 time and looked the part in all three positions in the outfield. He also delivered consistent BP rounds with EV's up to 94.2 MPH and balls worked gap to gap up to 367 feet. On the mound in-game was where he took the biggest step forward, looking sharp with a heater up to 87 MPH and a SL/CH offspeed duo, both pitches in the low 70's. Barba was a 5A state champion in Oregon this spring and is a name for recruiters to follow closely."

From 3/3/26... "Among the most physically dominant players at 6'3 210 pound, Jacobs demonstrated loud tools in an NFL tight end-like frame at PK Park. At the dish, the levers do a nice job staying compact through the swing, with a wider base and a firm front side at contact. The loose-wristed stroke could do damage when on the barrel, with a peak exit velocity of 102.2 MPH and a max batted ball distance of 385 feet. The 7.04 runner had throws up to 80 MPH in the outfield with a power hitting corner OF type projection. Jacobs also hopped on the mound, running a fastball up to 82.4 MPH with a 2460 RPM slider thrown for strikes."

From 8/5/26... "An athletic two-way player with an intriguing toolset, Wayland looked the part in all aspects at State Games. He began his workout with a 7.02 run time in the 60 as well as throws up to 86 MPH from the outfield. His BP was consistent with more hit over power to this point, working low-90's EV's at his best while averaging upper 80's. On the mound was where he arguably shined the most, mixing in a FB/SL combination consistently with a clean, loose delivery. The heater was up to 86 MPH with life up in the zone and the SL was sharp, playing well late in counts."
