The remaining four include an elite shortstop, a projectable left-handed hitting outfielder, an impact two-way player, and a hitterish infielder. Players included this week are from Alberta, Connecticut, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, and New Jersey.
Conor Pote RHP / SS / Okotoks Dawgs Academy, AB / 2022Rankings OverallRank: 112 / POS: 26
Pote oozes projection with a long-limbed, 6-foot-3, 165-pound frame, and loose arm. The right-hander effortlessly repeats a simple delivery, and is efficient down the mound working linear to the plate before releasing out of a high ¾ slot. The arm works continuously through a medium-sized stroke with quickness out front as he gets extended towards the plate while producing a downward plane. Up to 86mph with the fastball over the summer, there is likely to be a considerable velocity jump as his frame continues to add strength. Pote showcases developing feel for both the breaking ball and changeup, and will likely see quick advancements with more mound time and game experience. Overall, Pote’s quick arm and projectable frame will likely have college coaches monitoring his progress closely in the future.
