2022 MLB Draft - SC Prospect Story

The 2022 MLB Draft has come and gone with South Carolina prospects playing out as major players in the process throughout the 3 days.  In total 4 high school prospects were selected in the 20 round event.  Tucker Toman (SS, Hammond School) was the first off the board in the 2 nd round to the Toronto Blue Jays.  Mavis Graves (LHP, Eastside HS) and Logan Wagner (SS, P27 Academy) also heard their names called inside the top 10 rounds.


The college prospects in the state were also well accounted for in this year’s draft.  A total of 11 prospects attending colleges or universities in South Carolina were selected.
