David Seifert
Director of College Scouting

The Director of College Scouting at Prep Baseball Report and D1Baseball.com, David Seifert, helped ignite our 2024 MLB Draft coverage by traveling to Hoover, Ala., to take in this year's East Coast Pro event, which precedes the Area Code Games out west where our own Shooter Hunt is stationed currently, witnessing the underclass portion of the event. Seifert will be breaking down the top takeaways from each day of ECP, with the Day Three coverage below. Here are links to Day One and Day Two coverage.

Each of the prospects listed below are members of the Class of 2024. Now, onto Day Three coverage…

Day Three Quick Hits:

Dodgers 5, Mariners 4

– INF Carter Johnson (Oxford HS, AL) was on his game for the Mariners on both sides of the ball. After shooting a single through the six-hole his first at-bat, the 6-foot-2 shortstop made a nifty backhand stab of a hot one-hopper and threw across the diamond for a groundout. He followed that web gem up with a 89 EV double to right field then stroked another hot single between short and third. For the day, the left handed hitter collected three hits while using all fields.
