Quick Hitters - Pitchers

Charles Becker, RHP, 2027

At 6-2 182 pounds, this athlete has a strong frame, good athleticism, and room to grow.  Shorter arm motion and a lower 3/4 slot were able to throw three pitches for strikes while keeping hitters off balance.  With a fastball sitting 78-82 and topping out at 83  mph and some tailing motion, the fastball had good life.  While sitting between 67 - 71 mph, the curveball produced some swing and mix.  Additionally, a changeup with nice downhill movement was mixed in at 65–67 mph.  Strike thrower with an athletic arm action, lots of projection left in this right hander.

Easton Rider, RHP, 2027

Has a 6'5", 250-pound frame extra large frame.  Throwing with a terrific whippy arm from a low 3/4 arm slot.  Fastball, sat between 76 - 80 mph with considerable arm side run, exhibits good promise.  At 66-68 mph, the breaking ball is more of a sweeper. but when on top, has good side-to-side motion.  Has a propensity to get under it.  Big, impressive frame that will only get better as he gets older.

Connor Wells, LHP, 2027

Having a 6'5", 175 lb. build, he has a ton of projection. His fastball, which he was able to move about the zone with while pitching at 82–86 mph.  A quick loose athletic arm that throws from a H ¾ arm slot.  With an 11/4 break, the curveball displayed the makings of a quality pitch with depth. Curveball shows the making and action to be a plus pitch as he continues to develop. Big time promising arm with loads of future potential and immediate impact.  Not only one of the top arms in the state but has the makings to be one of top arms in the country.

Luke Potter, LHP.1B, 2027

At 6-1 and 155 pounds, the long, slender build has plenty of space for growth.  Had a consistent mix of his fastball and curveball, demonstrating his ability to throw for strikes.  The left-hander's fastball had a velocity of 74–76 mph and could be thrown to the arm and glove side.  Breaking ball could be thrown early in the count to steal strikes and could also be used as a putaway pitch in the late innings.  The breaking ball sat 62–64 mph.  Lot of projection left in this frame and arm.

Cooper DeVries, OF, 2027

Strong, physically fit body with a current strength of 6-2, 183 pounds.  Throwing bowling ball sinkers and attacking the batters after coming out of the bullpen in a crucial scenario.  Showed great extension down the mound, which led to a ton of swings and misses and a ton of balls being hit into the ground.  Fastball velocity ranged from 83 to 87 mph, with spin rates between 140 to 1700 rpm.  This young man had a great performance coming out of the bullpen and dominated the batters.  As this power arm righty continues to mature and develop look out for some big time jumps as he already shows big time stuff.

John Nypaver, LHP/1B, 2027

6-0, 160 pounds, with a long, lean physique.  Short, quick left-handed arm with a low 3/4 arm slot.  Fastball had some armside run and sink to it and sat 79-81 mph and topping out at 82 mph, with the capacity to fill up the zone.  Spun a terrific curveball with depth, and he was able to move that pitch for strikes and chases both within and outside the strike zone, while sitting 66-68 mph and coming out of the same window of his Fastball.  Additionally, demonstrated a solid changeup that had fade and sink to it at 68-70 mph.  Big time outing while stuffing a very good team.  Lots of projection to this left hander.

Beau Hite, INF/RHP, 2028

5-10 and 145 pounds, with a very athletic and projectable physique.  Beau attacked batters when he emerged from the bullpen, using a nice combination of his fastball and breaking ball.  His fastball clocked in at 79–80 mph topping 81 mph, filling the zone, and demonstrating his ability to locate to both sides of the plate.  His breaking ball displayed a good short break action to it while sitting 70-71 mph.  Very athletic and competitive arm that is entertaining to watch compete.
