Future Games: The Nation’s Biggest Recruiting Week

Welcome to the biggest uncommitted baseball event in the country.  This week, the scouting world descends on LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, for the highly anticipated Future Games week. While the week kicked off with the upperclassmen in the Senior Future Games (2027 grads) and features the rising stars of the Junior Future Games (2030 and 2031 grads), July 22nd through the 25th belong to the main event: the Future Games.

Bringing together the premier uncommitted Class of 2028 prospects from across the nation, the Future Games offer an unmatched platform.  These elite athletes will be put through a comprehensive pro-style workout before battling it out in a three-game slate.  Among the loaded rosters taking the field is Team SC, a powerhouse squad featuring the top uncommitted talent from across South Carolina.

If there was any question about the magnitude of this week, just look at the crowd behind the backstop.  Last year’s event drew a staggering 450+ college coaches, and Day 1 of this year's showcase has already matched—if not exceeded—that massive turnout.  The spotlight has never been brighter, and for the Class of 2028, it's time to perform.

QUICK HITTERS- OUTFIELDERS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)</h2

Kollin Bright OF / SS / Lugoff-Elgin High, SC / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 27 / POS: 5 Bright showcased one of the better athletic profiles at the event, highlighted by an impressive 6.57-second 60-yard dash that translated well onto the field.  The right-handed hitter produced a 93.8 mph exit velocity during the workout before carrying that into game action with a clean base hit through the left side, showing the ability to stay on the baseball and use the entire field.  His quick-twitch athleticism and toolsy skill set stood out throughout the weekend, giving him the look of a high-upside prospect with plenty of development still ahead.

Briggs Lessmeister OF / RHP / Lake Wylie High School, SC / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 7 / POS: 1  Lessmeister put his strength and athleticism on full display throughout the event, showcasing one of the more impressive overall profiles in attendance. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound right-handed hitter posted a 104.3 mph exit velocity while also running an outstanding 6.65-second 60-yard dash, a rare combination of power and athleticism for his size. He carried those tools into game action by launching a towering two-run home run to right field, highlighting the easy all-fields power in his swing. With an imposing frame, explosive tools, and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways, Lessmeister continues to separate himself as one of the top prospects in South Carolina's 2028 class.

Charlie McCrory OF / 3B / Spartanburg High, SC / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 23 / POS: 4 McCrory showcased an imposing 6-foot-4, 228-pound frame with plenty of present strength and offensive upside.  The right-handed hitter produced a 98.3 mph exit velocity and drove the baseball 386 feet, demonstrating the ability to generate easy carry off the barrel. He also surprised with his athleticism, turning in a 7.11-second 60-yard dash, an impressive time for a player of his size.  McCrory's combination of physicality, raw power, and better-than-expected athleticism gives him an intriguing profile with significant offensive potential.

Jack Provenzano OF / LHP / Catawba Ridge High School, SC / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 18 / POS: 2 Provenzano put together one of the better all-around performances of the event, carrying a strong workout into an outstanding weekend of game action.  The left-handed hitter ran a 6.88-second 60-yard dash, posted a 95.2 mph exit velocity, and continued to produce by collecting multiple hits and several loud barrels over the three-game event.  He consistently drove the baseball to all fields while using his speed to create pressure on the bases, showcasing an athletic, well-rounded offensive skill set.  From the workout through game play, Provenzano enjoyed a big week that highlighted both his athleticism and ability to impact the game in multiple ways.
