The 2026 SC Rising Stars ID was set for Tuesdays, July 14th, at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. The Rising Stars IDs help update evaluations and metrics. This setting provides a prime opportunity for prospects to strengthen their Prep Baseball profiles and position themselves for invitations to premier summer events such Carolina Border Battle, SC Top Prospect Games, and JR Future Games.

The Preseason ID plays a crucial role on the Prep Baseball calendar, serving as an early identification point before the SCHSL season. These events allow our scouting staff, and college recruiters, to establish a strong follow list entering the spring. Our staff strategically hosts preseason events across the state with the goal of identifying emerging prospects who have capitalized on the offseason, while also re-evaluating known players trending upward. Complete player profiles, including tech metrics, statistics, video, and detailed scouting reports, will be published on the Prep Baseball Report website, which is followed by more than 1,000 college programs nationwide.

The event began with A pro-style workout for all the position players followed that included running a laser timed 60 recorded using Vald Preformance Technology, pitcher bullpens with each pitch tracked by Trackman, a defensive evaluation, and finished with BP with TrackMan ball flight analysis.

QUICK HITTERS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

Ethan Derosia OF / RHP / Blue Ridge, SC / 2030 Derosia continues to show an intriguing blend of size, athleticism, and offensive upside for the 2030 class.  The 6-foot-1 left-handed hitter produced a 91.2 mph exit velocity and 335 foot max distance, demonstrating advanced strength and the ability to drive the baseball with authority for his age.  His athleticism was evident throughout the workout, highlighted by a 7.47 sixty and projectable actions that should continue to improve as he matures.  Defensively, Derosia recorded an 82 mph outfield arm, giving him another advanced tool and making him one of the more intriguing young outfield prospects to follow.

Easton Hart OF / 2B / Homeschool (SC), SC / 2030 Hart showed a projectable frame with athletic actions and room for continued physical development.  The 6-foot-1 right-handed hitter produced an 85.6 mph exit velocity and 298 foot max distance, flashing developing strength and the ability to create solid contact. His athletic profile gives him a strong foundation as he continues to mature and add size.  Defensively, Hart recorded an 80 mph outfield arm, an advanced number for the 2030 class that adds to an intriguing long-term profile.

Corbin Little SS / 3B / Hillcrest, SC / 2030 Little turned in one of the loudest offensive performances of the event regardless of class.  The 5-foot-10 right-handed hitter produced a 100.2 mph exit velocity and an impressive 398 foot max distance, exceptional power numbers for a 2030 prospect.  His strength is evident in the way the ball jumps off the barrel, giving him significant middle-of-the-order offensive potential as he continues to develop. Defensively, Little recorded an 81 mphinfield arm, adding another quality tool to one of the most impressive young position player profiles at the event.

REED MCDANIEL RHP / SS / Spartanburg, SC / 2030 McDaniel showed an intriguing blend of versatility and offensive upside as a switch-hitter. He produced an 86.6 mph exit velocity and 320 foot max distance, demonstrating present strength from both sides of the plate with room for additional power as he matures. Defensively, he recorded an 81 mph infield arm, giving him the arm strength to handle multiple spots on the dirt. With a switch-hitting profile, solid defensive tools, and plenty of projection remaining, McDaniel is a 2030 prospect to keep a close eye on.

Brooks Minarik SS / 2B / Nation Ford, SC / 2030 Minarik turned in one of the top athletic performances among the 2030 class.  The 6-foot-1 right-handed hitter posted a 7.06 sixty with an explosive 1.61 ten-yard split and a 26-inch vertical, highlighting the athleticism that stands out immediately. He also produced a 91 mph exit velocity and 333 foot max distance, showing developing strength and the ability to drive the baseball with authority. Defensively, Minarik topped out at 87 mph from the infield, one of the strongest arm performances in the class, giving him a high-upside profile on both sides of the ball.
