Berkeley  2 Ashley Ridge  1

PBR invaded the home of the reigning 5A state champs in what was a big time matchup in what was expected to be a big pitching duel and ended up being just that. Chase Stryker got the start for Ashley Ridge and turned in a good performance however he was countered with Miller McGuire he turned in a better performance. Ashley Ridge would strike 1st in the first inning with one run off the bat of Finn McLaughlin and that would be all they would get the entire game. Ashley Ridge had their chances many times with runners in scoring position but could not scratch anymore runs across. On the flip side Berkeley struck for single runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. This game came down to who made the least amount of mistakes and who capitalized on those mistakes, something Berkeley is accustomed to doing over the past year and a half.
