NC/SC: Myers Park Outlast Indian Land in Inter-State Matchup

On Saturday Indian Land (SC) hosted a double header with two Charlotte area schools. The Warriors won the first game and PBR was on hand for game 2 as they hosted Myers Park.
A tight game through four innings was blown open as the Mustangs were able to finally get to Warrior starter Carter Barrett. In the 5th, the Mustangs would plate 5 runs on 5 hits with the big knock coming from Peter Perez, a 1 out single through the six-hole, scoring William Bryant and Owen Williams.
Kaleb Tischler worked into the 5th inning for the win, scattering 4 hits and 1 walk, striking out 1. Jim Johnson closed the game getting 2 strikeouts in 1.1 innings pitched. Indian Lands' Barrett worked 4.2 innings limiting the Mustangs over his first 4 innings of work.
The win moved Myers Park to 7-3, overall. They remain 4-2 in the South Meck 4A Conference. Indian Land went 1-1 on the day, earning a 10-0 win over Charlotte Latin. They are now 4-4 in 2022.
