Preseason All State: Trackman Offensive Stats

Sammy Esposito
PBR SC Director of Scouting

The Preseason All State Showcase took place on Sunday Jan. 30th at the P27 Baseball Performance Center along with Lexington Ballpark in Lexington, South Carolina. Prospects from the event came from around the Palmetto state on what turned out to be a wonderful winter afternoon.

A premier event for premier talent in South Carolina, we have seen a lot of very talented prospects workout at this event prior to their spring season.  Coming off each individual player's preseason workout, this event tends to see players blow up their numbers, giving coaches and scouts a reason to take notice as they prep their spring schedules for evaluation.

The event began with pitcher bullpens with each pitch tracked by Trackman, along with Pitch AI.  A pro-style workout for all the position players followed that included the 60 yard dash, BP with TrackMan ball flight analysis, and a defensive evaluation.

Below we will look at TrackMan Offensive Stats for the event.

TRACKMAN LEADERS-BATTING PRACTICE

TrackMan was on hand to track ball flight off the bat throughout BP at the workout of the 2022 South Carolina Preseason All State.  TrackMan is able to track exit velocity, distance traveled, time in the air, launch angle, and more.  Below we break down some of the leaders from TrackMan's work at the event.

Peak Exit Velocity

TrackMan is able to track every ball hit into fair territory, throughout the BP sessions.  Below are the exit velocities produced by individual players.

Average Exit Velocity

The average exit velocity measures a players ability to consistently produce hard contact.  The average was taken based on every ball tracked by TrackMan throughout the player's BP session.
