Quick Hitters: Carolina Prospects - Position Players

On Saturday June 3rd PBR or North Carolina was on hand at Charlotte Latin for a Scout Day with the On Deck O’s, NCBA Golden Spikes and Carolina Prospects. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2026 Grad Classes.
The day began with players going through a rotation that involved running a laser timed 60 and taking batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After batting practice, position players went through a defensive evaluation. The scout day concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman gathering information on each pitch.

Quick Hitters
6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame. Fluid swing with quick hands. Short to the ball with his barrel staying through the zone. Lined balls to both gaps during his BP rounds. Top exit velocity at 97 mph, average EV at 82.1 mph. Ran a 7.01 laser timed 60 with his arm topping at 83 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 167-pound frame. Simple, balanced swing with a direct path, barrel works level through the zone. Squared balls up through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity at 83.3 mph, average EV at 78.8 mph.
5-foot-9, 145-pound frame. Ran a 6.57 laser timed 60. Flat barrel path working gap to gap with a line drive approach. Peak exit velocity at 87.6 mph, average EV at 75.1 mph. Arm topped at 78 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 145-pound frame with room to add strength. Left hand hitter. Gap to gap approach in BP. Hands have quickness with a flat barrel path, gets extension through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity at 85.3 mph. Ran a 7.09 laser timed 60.
5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Balanced swing with a flat barrel path through the zone. Stayed through the middle of the field during his BP rounds. Top exit velocity at 77.1 mph, average EV at 70.9 mph.
