With 2021 coming to a close we begin to take a look at the most viewed player profiles in South Carolina over the last year. Repeatable, simple swing, loose quick athletic hands, present bat speed, fluid rhythm and maintains balance throughout. Consistently on the barrel, extension through contact and works gap-to-gap.
Power: 100 mph exit velocity from the tee. Advanced bat strength and power potential.
Arm: RH. C - 80 mph. Short, clean arm action plays from an over-the-top slot; Throws play true and consistently on the bag.
Defense: 1.96-2.11 pop times. Clean, directional and repeatable out of the crouch. Natural catcher actions, soft strong hands, sticks pitches, gets underneath the low pitch, quiet sound blocks.
Run: 7.34 runner in the 60.
South Carolina commit. Strong, athletic build. Switch-hitting catcher/outfielder. Showed out over a four-game stretch from Saturday night into Sunday morning, launching a home run, three doubles, and driving in six runs. Balanced setup, smooth load, short stride with a slight leg kick. Quick hands, level path to the baseball, on time, incredibly fluid swing. Present bat strength. Ball sounds different off his bat, consistently made hard contact all throughout the day. Defensively, natural instincts behind the plate. Quality receiver, soft hands, clean and quick exchange leading to a quick transfer, strong arm, carry on throws. Threw several runners out, leader behind the plate.
South Carolina commit, currently ranked No. 88 in the 2022 overall rankings. 5-foot-10, 180-pound, well-proportioned, strong lower-half, switch-hitting catcher. High-level prospect, started behind the plate and hit in the three-hole. Only saw one at-bat left-handed and walked without taking the bat off his shoulder. Went 1-for-2 right-handed with a line-drive single up the middle. Confident, calm setup in the box, slight leg-kick trigger. Loose, athletic hands, advanced strength in bat for age, lets the ball travel, understands the strike zone and uses the middle of the field. Defensively, natural catcher actions, soft hands, presents pitches well, willing blocker. Athletic out of the crouch, clean and online, minimal effort. Arm works short and over-the-top, arm plays true and accurate. Pop time of 2.12, in game. One of the top 2022 prospects in Illinois.

3.4.18 - 5-foot-8, 175 pound, switch-hitting two-way player, well-proportioned, strong, athletic build. Highly-advanced 2022 prospect. Offensively from the right side, balanced setup, smooth back load, short leg lift stride. Showed a gap to gap approach, line drive hitter, creates lift with a natural uphill path, hard contact with extension through the zone. From the left side, similar setup and load, more of an uphill bat path with increased pull side tendencies. Above average bat speed, 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.71 runner in the 60. Highly-advanced defensive catcher. Steady hands, agile footwork, quick, clean exchange, short arm action, high ¾ slot; 74 mph to second with accuracy and carry. Solid block, athletic actions, catches with confidence. Pop times ranged from 2.01-2.05. Projectable corner infielder, fluid footwork, sure hands, long transfer, short arm, high ¾ slot, 77 mph across the diamond.
