Diamond Notes is a weekly compilation of notes on South Carolina players from last week.  Each week Coaches from across the state send in player notes and stats as the Prep Baseball staff is working to name a PB Player of the Week.  Prep Baseball scouts are also compiling player notes from attended games, as well as box scores from across the state.

Below we take a look at some of the top performers from the second week of the high school season. The SC Pitcher of the Week was Collin Anderson from James Island Charter. Stow Rogers from James Island Charter earned Player of the Week Honors.

Byer Ware, RHP, Camden High School, 2024

+ For the season Byer has 35.2 IP, 47 K's, 7 BB, 3 HBP,  has allowed only 18 hits and 7 earned runs for an ERA of 1.37.
+ Last night (Friday 4/12/24) Byer Ware threw a complete game 1 hit shoutout in a 7-0 victory over Region VI-AAA opponent Lake City.  Byer faced only 22 batters.  The only player to reach base was in the bottom of the 7th inning w/ one out on an infield single.  He had 10 strikeouts.  He only threw 86 pitches in a dominating performance.
