Most Viewed Player Profiles of 2014: No. 7 Brock Myers

By Doug Hall
Tennessee Director of Scouting

As you well know, PBR Tennessee began operations in 2014, and we felt it would be interesting to take a look at the ten most viewed Tennessee player profiles on the PBR website since we began operations.

Though we began scouting games and providing information on players in the late spring and early summer, we didn't run our first event in the state until August 24. Therefore, as we look at the ten most viewed profiles from 2014, it will only include profile views from August 24 to now.

No. 7 Brock Myersmyers
Myers, a 5-foot-11, 150-pound, class of 2017 RHP/SS from Davidson Academy has attended two PBR Tennessee events, most recently the Fall Top Prospect Games on November 1, and has been especially impressive on the mound at both events.  Myers has worked his fastball in the 81-84 mph range topping at 85 at both events while displaying good arm-side run.  His curveball shows some depth with sharp 12/6 action at 66-72 mph and he effectively uses a 71-75 mph slider and a cutter that shows some late action.  Myers' arm is quick and works cleanly, and he should be watched closely for velocity gains as he progresses through his high school career.  As a shortstop, Myers shows good range in both directions with sure hands defensively.  He has shown an accurate arm across the infield an gets rid of the ball quickly.  He has registered an exit velocity of 80 mph while running a 7.35 60-yard dash and 4.77 home to first base time.
