Tennessee Class of 2026 Rankings: Official Release
September 6, 2023
After a busy summer full of events, the Class of 2026 Player Rankings is long overdue for an update as these players have just started their sophomore year of their high school careers. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup as we have expanded the list to 60 players.
Christian Doty: 6 foot 1 and 185 pound frame with plenty of athletic attributes and strength. Polished hitter from the right side who stays on plane consistently and barrels baseballs to all parts of the field. Present power to the pull side and the gaps that go alongside a 6.8 sixty time. Defensively sticks at SS with really good arm strength and quick hips to turn laterally to both sides. Has really smooth actions and feel for making hard plays look routine. Overall, just a really advanced player that should continue to rise in the national rankings. Committed to Ole Miss.
Jaser Arms: OF that should be able to stick in CF coming in at 5 foot 11 and 175 pounds. Extremely athletic build with strong shoulders and mobile hips. Maybe the best pure hitter in the 2026 class in Tennessee. Left handed bat that displays pull side power but has a gap to gap approach. Really understands the strike zone well and hunts consistently for his pitch. Doesn’t get beat very often and has superb pitch recognition skills. Really quick hands and is hard to beat inside regardless of pitch speed. Defensively, has feel for tracking the baseball and has a strong enough arm to keep runners at bay. Polished player that continues to climb. Committed to Alabama
Cade Allen: RHP coming in at 6 foot and 175 pounds, Allen is extremely advanced for his age on the bump. Hopped on the scene over the summer after a stellar campaign against some of the best players in the country. Velocity continued to climb where he topped 92 at PBR Future Games. Mentally really ahead as he has a great understanding of attacking the strike zone with his fastball and off-speed. The game doesn’t seem to ever rush for him as he is in control. At Future Games, was overall one of the best arms in the tournament going 2 innings with 4 strikeouts. Never once encountered a 3 ball count and consistently got ahead of hitters for a really uncomfortable at bat for anyone in the box. Made Team USA 15 National Team for icing on the cake to close out his breakout summer.
Jack Dugan: Strong, yet lean build at 6 foot 1 and 170 pounds. Athletic with lots of physical projection remaining. Quick mover at he has been clocked in the 6.8’s in the sixty. Easy actions with plus balance through the baseball from the SS position. Has enough arm strength to stick there longterm. Works well to both his forehand and backhand. Extremely polished defensively and a little ahead of his hitting currently. At the plate, has a quick swing with easy firing of the hips. Has shown the ability to lift and maintaines a center field to gap approach. Swing will keep showcasing ability as he gains strength. Committed to Tennessee.
Colten Springall: Lean and athletic build at 6 foot and 165 pounds. Extremely wiry player that has plenty of room to feel out and gain strength as he grows. Really mature kid with an understanding of the game and his approach at the plate. 6.9 runner in the sixty with long legs and smooth movement patterns. Really clean working through the baseball with soft hands and a quick release. Enough arm strength to move to SS at the next level. Moves really well into the baseball with easy transitions to glove side, as well as to his forehand. Left handed hitter in the box with polished plate discipline and a knack for making consistent barrel connections. Slightly open stance with lighting hands that generates plenty of lag through the hitting zone. Easy swing that he is able to repeat consistently with advanced barrel control to all parts of the field. Extremely projectable hitter that will only continue to get better as he grows. Committed to Tennessee.
