PLAYERS TO WATCH
Will Allocca (SS/C, 2016, Virginia) Allocca is an athletic infielder who is transitioning to catcher before he heads to Charlottesville next fall. He is currently ranked 23rd in the Class of 2016 Rankings.
David Angstadt (3B/RHP, 2016, William & Mary) Angstadt has an athletic frame and is currently ranked 43rd in the PBR VA/DC Class of 2016 Rankings.
Ben Greer (RHP/OF, 2016, Washington & Lee)
Evan Justice (LHP/CF, 2017, North Carolina State) Justice is a lanky lefty with a projectable frame who has a ton of upside. He has shown mid-80s velocity and has a lot of deception built into his delivery and the makings of two good offspeed pitches. Justice is currently ranked 27th in the Class of 2017 Rankings.
Max Vaughan (3B/RHP, 2016)

SEASON OUTLOOK
Collegiate School is coming off of an outstanding 2015 season that saw the Cougars finish second in the Virginia Prep League and then advance all the way to the VISAA Division I State Championship game before falling to Liberty Christian. The 2016 Cougars will have to fill in a lot of holes in the lineup as only two starters return from the 2015 squad. The 2016 edition will have a ton of athleticism all over the field and should be pretty good defensively. The middle of the lineup should also be very good, especially once Allocca returns from injury to partner with Angstadt. The pitching staff has talent with Justice and Greer, but currently lacks in depth. If Collegiate can get Allocca back and find some youngsters to help out on the mound, the Cougars should again be one of the better teams in the VPL and return to the VISAA tournament, where they would be dangerous again this spring.
