SEASON OUTLOOK
St. John’s is coming off a dominant 2015 season that saw the Cadets win the WCAC regular season comfortably and also win the WCAC Tournament Championship as St. John’s finished the season at No. 6 in the PBR VA/DC Power 25. The 2016 Cadets bring back 17 players from the 2015, including three of their top five arms and six position players that made at least ten starts. The Cadets’ lineup will be hurt by the graduation of table-setter Brian Tagoe (OF, LaSalle) and AJ Lee (SS, Maryland), but otherwise will be very deep and experienced with threats in every spot in the lineup. St. John’s stable of pitching talent is beyond ludicrous, and is easily the best in the WCAC. Look for St. John’s to again be one of the top teams in the always-competitive WCAC this spring and one of the most complete and talented squads in our coverage area.
